BMW ICOM A2 Emulator, or INPA K+DCAN cable?
One BMW car for one ICOM? NO! Many fresh BMW owners are new to vehicle diagnosis and have incorrect opinions that ICOM is the most ideal scanner. Here are some suggestion for some new to BMW repair.
If you just want to scan for faults, clear them and do diagnostics and maybe some light coding you don't need an ICOM. A K+DCAN cable is good enough with either BMW Standard Tools or BMW Rheingold. But this is mainly for cars from 1998 to 2008, some new cars also.

1.For first time i install this software, i remember to close the anti-virus software first, then install it. After done, i test it on my car successfully. Because my anti-virus software is opened automatically when power on the PC. Today i start my PC and run this software again, it gives me this prompt, i think software is influenced by the anti-virus software. What should i do now?
Here is the solution:
1) Uninstall this software. Then reinstall the software again. Do not forget the disable or uninstall the anti-virus software
2) Reinstall the system. Do not install the anti-virus software. Then reinstall this multidiag pro software again.
2.My car software is installed ready without any problem since i follow the video to install it step by step. Now i follow the video to reinstall the truck software again. I also use the same keygen to calculate the hardware ID, i think the ID is right. Because i can use it to get the car ID, and Car ID is right. I choose truck to calculate. But when i fill the ID to the box, it prompt me it is wrong. Look at this photo, please help me find where is wrong.
Analysis: Look at the photo with the rectangular red box.
For 2013.3 software.
When you install car software, after you choose the language, then choose "", then use the keygen to calculate the car hardware ID.
For cars, it is Cars: ID: a-710-142 hardware key: EGDFZJFAVQED
For trucks, it is the same way installation way as the video, except for the VCI selection and hardware ID. For trucks, you need to choose "" after you choose the language. Then truck information: Trucks: ID: a-710-210 hardware key: XYVRVNHAGEHD
Solution: Uninstall the truck software. Then reinstall the software again. Remember to choose the right VCI.

Ford IDS works well on Windows XP, 7, 10,VMware, iPhone...
Hi, all IDS users. Ford VCM/ VCM2 software nowadays, you know, has been tested by some vcm users that IDS can be worked fine on almost laptops with different operation system, and even iPhone mobiles.
IDS V94 works well on Win 10:
My IDS is still working fine on windows 10,
IDS was installed on the panasonic toughbook i5 with windows 7
then the laptop got the upgrade to windows 10 with no reported problems,
this laptop is full of my everyday crap and i never turn off the security when i connect to van.
maybe i’ve just been lucky as i don’t know to much about computers,
all the bosch stuff is there and calibrations .
i accidentaly updated to the v94 once from ford then system restored the laptop to previous setting
and it ran saying it was v94 with no problems with licence or anything
IDS V97.01 works well on W10 Pro 64bit:
I have IDS V97.01 working with W10 Pro 64bit
IDS works well on Win 7 family:
I had it working fine on my old works w7 machine but had to give that one back,  Got it on my own family w7 one too and no probs, and now got another w7 one for doing my own work stuff and looking to upgrade to w10 but holding off just now.
IDS V86 works well on Win 7 64 bit:
I tried to run a native copy of v86 using the same VCM, but directly on win7 x64
No problems, everything works sweetly.
IDS works well on Windows XP:
My ids is on an old shitter with xp and I don't let it connect to internet
IDS V90.01 works well on VMware running Win XP PRO:
The VMware image works nicely, it includes a patched version of ids v90 running on xp pro.
However, it wants to update the firmware in my vcm2 so i'll try with v86 before doing that. I don't want to brick the vcm2 so it won't work with ids v86
IDS V86 works well on iPhone mobile:
For all I use it really, I'm quite happy just running v86 on my iPhone.
Fast enough and hardly any problems.

MB SD Connect Compact 4 problem solution
Here is some information and problem solution for MB SD STAR C4. We have made the video for software activation, keep the same step as our video, then you can use the software successfully.

Q: Does this software HDD has requirement for computer or computer system? Can i use win7 system to install this software? Do you have SATA HDD?
A: Please install the software on XP system. XP system is best for this software. More steady for software running. Do not advice you use win7 system.
There are different hdd to choose: Dell d630 hdd and external hdd. If you have D630 computer, then choose D630 HDD, if you do not have this computer, then choose External HDD. Attention: For D630 hdd, make sure your computer is integrated video card and with 1GB memory, because the D630 of discrete video card is easy to have blue screen or shutdown and restart, restart and shutdown. …..For SATA HDD, based on the HDD type you choose.
Q: After i find Fingerprint ID, i click "Diagnostic", it do not show me the Fingerprint ID, but the following error prompt: " System errors: Internal error (3.17)- 3.89 You must contact the user help Desk ", why?

A: You need to reset the IP address. Please connect to "Local area connection", and set IP address: 172.29.127.114, Subnet mask: 255.255.0.0. for the detailed steps, please watch the video tutorial by clicking column "Video".

A: Your problem is that you change file “lic-key-2” as “read only. Do not change file “lic-key-2” as “read only.

Ford VCM2 IDS learn PRV SCV for Transit MK7 steps
What the steps to learn a PRV (Pressure Reducing Valve) and SCV (Speed Compensated Volume) on a Ford Transit MK7 FWD van using Ford VCM2 IDS diagnostic & programming system when normally replaced? Check out the instruction below.
Tools needed:
A new PRV and washer
A new SCV and seals
A basic socket set and Allen keys
Ford VMCII diagnostic tool with IDS software
Step 1: Change a PRV and SCV
Check the google docs file below. There’s the step-by-step guide on changing a PRV and SCV on MK7.
If you have not problem on replacing these, then skip to Step 2.

Step 2: PRV SCV pump pilot learn with IDS
After replace the PRV and SCV, start programming.
Well loaded VCM2 IDS v86/v91/v96 software on a delicate Win XP laptop.
Connect VCMII system with vehicle via OBD socket.
Now crank the van over until it starts, it might take a few turns to get going, mine only took about 10-15 seconds and fired up. Let it stabilize and the switch off.
Now it will need checked for any leaks first, if it's ok then it's time to get the diagnostics our and perform a pump learn first and then an injector learn.
Then reset the learned values and counters.
Select Programming icon in IDS
Select Powertrain control unit
Select Service Function->PCM
Select Fuel Injection Pump Learn and the follow IDS prompts
VCM II IDS will guide you through the process of the learns.
Wait the procedure is done. Clear restored DTCs and exit the IDS software.

How to fix Star DAS/Xentry "No access authorization code" error?
A small part of MB Star DAS/Xentry users got "No access authorization code" error when operating Xentry/DAS activation, shown as follows.
There are 2 possible reasons and solution:
The first possible reason: You haven't ctivate Xentry and DAS. You are required to send your supplier HW-ID,Lan ID and APP ID for Xentry activation and HW-ID for DAS activation, please follow the user guide to active Xentry and DAS:

The second possible: You activated successfully, but when you start the computer, you get the same error. Then please do by following steps.
1). Go to "C/Documents and Setting/All Users/Application Data/LicDir"
2). Copy "Lic_Key_2.dat" and paste it.
3). Setting the folder as "Show hidden files and folders".
4). Rename "copy file Lic_Key_2.dat" as "Lic_Key_2.x4711".
5). Again input the password of Xentry, and save it.
6). Test the Xentry software

STAR Diagnosis Benz S280 an Alarm Fault Oil Repair
An owner of Mercedes S280 sedan with W220 chassis says: " It is very
ofen to see that engine oil is less than 2L on the car meter
multi-function display. "
When I took the car, I pulled out the dipstick to check the car's oil level height is normal or not with V2015.05 MB SD Connect Compact 4 displaying oil Ievel temperature oil position and temperature. After asking the owner, I got that the car has been diagnosed in several large-scale diagnostic repair shops and they say the oil level sensor is faulty. And the sensor has been replaced in the two repair shop. Then they regarded the issue resolved because of the change of the sensor, but before long the multi-function meter will display on the oil than 2L.
Given the previously encountered failure and the solutions of replacing the oil level sensor, I decided to replace an oil level sensor. I then add the right amount of oil to refit after commissioning; the multifunction meter still shows the oil is less than 2L. Apparently, the problem was not oil level sensor. At this point I had some doubts that the car's mileage is not too much, but we had to consider whether there are some problem in the oil level sensor to the line between the right of the ME control module group or not. So it was measured with a multimeter oil level sensor 7 to 3 lead right side ME computer, which three lines are brownish-black, gray-blue and red and green. The measurements showed that each of the wires are normal, no breaks in. Is ME computer will be a problem? Of course, we can only think so, but must put it in the end. To accurately determine the fault, I have made a measurement of the line, but I still found no problems. Then, I continue to check the oil level sensor connector between right and SAM, but I found no bent pin, or damage to the phenomenon. The test sensor supply voltage is normal, with an oscilloscope measurement signal normal.
At that time, I was puzzled because if there is any problem on the multi-function display, ME computer, or CANBUS, MB SD Connect Compact 4 Wireless Star Diagnosis should be detected; however, we considered maybe the line virtual access are with some problems.
So we put the wires on the connector pin with a multimeter block to measure the voltage change between the voltage sensor and the right side of the SAM. The results were also found no abnormalities. And when we will lead with a pin inserted into the line terminal, the findings on the MB STAR multiplexer (I got the 2015.05 verison)showed that flashing on the black box of oil position, temperature and quality of the sensor and multi-function instrument dashboard also from time to time. If we remove pin lead and plug it directly, the fault would appear again. If we sway it back and forth by hand, the harness fault appear sometimes. Therefore, we drew a conclusion that the three pins on the right side of the engine computer connected to the oil position sensor B40 in the gray-blue line sometimes occurred virtual connection. After we dealt with it, the fault completely ruled out.
Having ruled out of the car after the failure, I got that in fact line virtual access problems on all types of vehicles are occurred relatively common, but it is relatively rare, in the Mercedes-Benz W220 chassis of the car because the level of technology of the car could not really make this failure occur. And because STAR diagnostic misled that the back and forth motion of the harness make the plug hard to change sometimes, and our fault diagnosis brought some resistance. It also illustrates that, no matter what kind of vehicle, it is very necessary to have the conventional fault diagnosis and logical thinking.
