How to Unlock Audi 7945 Key SUCCESSFULLY using FVDI 2 fly obd terminator

Read BCM 2 data by OBD mode

Connectivity and communication:
Plug the JLR VCI to the vehicles OBDII connector and connect it to the laptop via a USB cable.
Once the J2534 DLL files are loaded, JLR VCI will allow you to operate JLR SDD.
What does the JLR VCI do?
The JLR VCI connects directly to the vehicle OBDII (Diagnostic) connector, it then connects to the laptop via a USB cable for use with SDD.
Once the J2534 DLL files are loaded, this product will allow normal operation with JLR SDD Diagnostic Tool.

How does the JLR VCI operate in J2534 Mode?
The JLR VCI is simple and easy to use.  JLR SDD DVD 145 or V148 is optional to install.

Connect the 2m USB cable to the JLR VCI and the other end to the SDD Laptop.
The (PWR) LED will turn solid red to show the JLR VCI is powered.  During communication with the vehicle the Status (STS) LED will flash green.
How does the JLR VCI get updated for future Software Updates?
Periodically JLR will release updates to its products’ drivers and software.
These updates are necessary to either release further device functionality or to resolve field issues.
The updating of the drivers and software is handled by the diagnostic test application which will install the updates on request.
If problems are experienced during device use, always make sure that the latest device software and drivers have been installed.

How to Program a New Key for Passat B7

I lost my Passat key on my driveway house…
I’ve been searching about for a good new one few days, but info regarding programs/equipment needed to get the SKC and program a new key is very sketchy, has any idea or any tools to program a new key for a B7 Passat?

Solution 1: call a reputable local auto locksmith and get it done
An easy way but may charged you a big ton of money is to go to a local auto locksmith and get it done, never mind the dealers. But the cons is that if you lost the key again……
If you try this on your own.. You will mess up dash or else a big bill this is not a 5 minutes job needs proper tools or pay the price.
Solution 2: Use VCDS
It’s a lot more complicated for this generation of Immo… You’re getting into Component Protection…trying to find missing bytes from modules in the car…you are supposed to be able to solder well. Besides, vag machanics dont even see the codes now as its all online now with vag license.

Ktag and Kess v2 ecu programming review

Bought a bundle of Ktag and kess v2 last week.
And the kit arrived today. Shipped from China.
Attempting to use the ecu programmers this weekend.
Installed all appropriate software.
I run it on Windows xp

Edit: i successfully tested on some ECUs using the ktag and kess. Used without network connection.

Chinese pcb but high quality, i have this kess and ktag pcb in my old clones ( kess v2 fw: v4.036 and ktag fw: v6.070 and work well without any fault, also work with 24v)

In short, KESS V2 is perfect for OBD use, while KTag is perfect for Jtag, BDM and all the Boot application (tricore and ST10).
With KESS V2 you programming directly through the OBD port of the vehicle, while with Ktag you need to take apart the ECU and  open it, after you can make the read/write operation.
Many ECU has the advantage that can be read and write from OBD port (so KESS V2 is perfect), but there are lot ECU that need to disassemble from the car and open and this is the case for all the ECU that need to be programmed with Jtag, BDM and Boot protocols, so KTAG is needed. And that is why i bought Ktag and kess v2 together.
